Susanna Thompson
Susanna Thompson is an American television and film actress. She may be best known for her television work, which includes playing Karen Sammler on "Once and Again." She played the on screen mother of the character played by Evan Rachel Wood. Audiences remarked at how much the two really looked like mother and daughter.
She had a recurring role as the Borg Queen on "Star Trek: Voyager" from 1999-2000. One of Thompson's most controversial television appearances was on an episode of "Star Trek: Deep Space Nine" entitled "Rejoined". In the episode, she and Terry Farrell participated in one of television's first same-sex kisses. The episode first aired on October 30, 1995.
Thompson has made a guest appearances on several TV series including "Law and Order: SVU," "Jake in Progress," "Without a Trace," and "CSI." In January 2006, she had a starring role in the short-lived NBC drama "The Book of Daniel." In November 2006, she made her first appearance as Army Lieutenant Colonel Hollis Mann on the CBS series "NCIS."
She has starred opposite both Kevin Costner (in Dragonfly) and Mark Harmon (in NCIS) two men who have been confused with each other for much of their careers.
