Introduction
Sarah Wynter (born February 15, 1973)is an Australian actress, most widely known for her roles on American television, such as Kate Warner on the television drama 24 with Kiefer Sutherland and as Beth on Windfall with Luke Perry. Fans have demanded a 24/Windfall crossover, in which Jack Bauer investigates the multi-million dollar jackpot divvied up by the 20 friends in Windfall and finds it was Luke Perry who rigged the lottery in the first place. They will then fight.
Life Story
Wynter was born in Newcastle, New South Wales, daughter of Helen Williams, a worker in the Australian federal judicial system, and Stuart Wynter, a physician. Her grandmother, the late Joy Cummings, was the Lord Mayor of Newcastle - Australia's first female Lord Mayor. The Lord Mayor's responsibilities include overseeing municipal funding, and kissing Kangaroo babies.
Wynter's interest in acting led her to move to New York City when she was seventeen to study drama. Wynter earned her SAG card by landing a role on the Sex and the City pilot, playing what she later summarized as the first woman to have sex on that show. A few years later she was recognized by SAG again, as part of the cast of 24 when it earned a SAG Award nomination as Best Performance by an Ensemble in a Drama Series. They would lose to Six Feet Under, and Kiefer Sutherland would put Peter Krause's head through a plate glass window for it.
Wynter has appeared on a 2003 issue of Maxim Magazine. She was ranked #81 in Stuff (2002 edition) magazine's "102 Sexiest Women In The World." The 102nd sexiest? Rhea Pearlman.
On August 20, 2005 Wynter married Details magazine editor-in-chief Dan Peres in Sydney, ensuring that her likeness will be gracing the pages of the men's lifestyle magazine for years to come, provided Dan can hold down that job. He'd better. GQ just won't cut it these days.
She underwent LASIK surgery in New York City, calling it "one of the best things I have ever done in my life." She may or may not have been talking about her trip to New York in general, as Manhattan has many attractions worthy of making people's top ten lists. LASIK is a nice side attraction, though. But it pales in comparison to the rollicking spectacle that is Mamma Mia!
