Rachael Ray is a celebrity chef. Most famously known for her cooking show on Food Network "30 Minute Meals", she is also known for her talk show: "Rachael Ray".
Life Story
Grew up in Glens Falls, New York, to a family whom owned a restaurant on Cape Cod, Massachusetts. She started her fabulous cooking career at the candy counter at Macy's in New York City. She eventually was moved up and started taking care of the fresh foods. Good for you, Rachael. After this she managed a supposedly famous pub at a supposedly famous hotel on Lake George. Wow. Eventually she started teaching a course on how to make meals in 30 minutes or less. She wooed the crowds and CBS took notice, asking her to do a weekly bit on her remarkable 30 minute cooking skills.
The ultimate Food Network catfight occurred during the 2006-7 season of Iron Chef America (Alton Brown, Mark Dacascos), when producers pitted currently-reigning Queen Rachael with bread-rising (and other things rising) upstart chick, Giada DeLaurentiis, in a battle for Queen of Food Network. Queen Rachael and teammate Mario Bartoli barely trounced Giada and teammate Bobby Flay in a very tight race (tighter than their chef smocks!), where the feature ingredient was Cranberries!
