Priscilla Lane appeared with her sister Rosemary on the Fred Waring show on the NBC radio network. The two joined Waring for the movie Varsity Show in 1937. This began Priscilla's carrer in movies which would last for the next decade. During her relatively brief acting career she became a rather popular performer for Warner Bros., trailing only Bette Davis, and ahead of Ann Sheridan, in fan mail as of early 1940.

Miss Lane's most notable films are Four Daughters with John Garfield, The Roaring Twenties with James Cagney, Arsenic and Old Lace with Cary Grant, and Alfred Hitchcock's Saboteur. She got married during World War II and settled down to raise a family in the late 1940s, having four children, and leaving the movie business in 1948.

Priscilla made a brief return to the public eye as the host of a Boston television station's movie program in 1958.
