Best known for her role as Bonnie Barstow in the cult 1980s TV show Knight Rider. McPherson played the role of KITT's mechanic in the first season (1982-1983), 3rd and 4th seasons (from 1984-1986).
Her first film role was The Bawdy Adventures of Tom Jones in 1976.
Outside of acting, McPerson is very active in conserving forests, land and wildlife, including the preservation of the Ballona Wetlands in California.
