Olivia Williams was born in Camden Town, London, England. Both her parents are barristers, which, if you don't know is a type of attorney. She graduated from Newnham College, Cambridge with a degree in English literature, then studied drama at the Bristol Old Vic Theatre School for two years. She is married to American actor Rhashan Stone and they have two children.
Career
She began her career on the stage, touring the United States in a production of Richard III. Her first notable screen appearance was in the British TV movie Emma (Kate Beckinsale, Samantha Morton) and her film debut came in The Postman. After she became entangled in the on screen love triangle with Bill Murray and Jason Schwartzman in Rushmore her career took off. She followed that up with the mega hit The Sixth Sense and earned a British Independent Film Award for best actress in The Heart of Me (Helena Bonham Carter).
