Introduction
Nia Long will have a career as long as Ice Cube keeps doing movies. She got her first big break when she beat out Jada Pinkett Smith for the role as Will Smith's girlfriend on The Fresh Prince of Bel Air, but it is Jada who won the lifetime role as Mrs. Smith.
Career
Nia has had a long and prolific career in both film and television. Her first major film role was as that catholic girl who wouldn't put out in Boyz in tha Hood. That is, until Cuba got harassed by the po po, and went crying to her. The lesson we all learned from that classic movie is - women have a weakness for guys who aren't afraid to shed tears.
Since then, Nia's been in almost every Ice Cube movie.
Personal
Nia's been rumored to have dated Reggie Bush and Yao Ming (go ahead, let the Rush Hour jokes begin). But as for serious relationships, Nia married, then broke up with, and had a child with Massai Dorsey, who the child is named after. Maybe in that order, but it's not clear. Rumor has it that she was seen at The Grove shopping center with her new boyfriend when she ran into Dorsey, who got his ass kicked by her new man. Gangsta. Needless to say, if Nia had a Facebook page, her relationship status would read, "It's Complicated". Nia is the half sister of comediane Sommore.
