Introduction
From the moment Missi Pyle grew out her uni-brow for the movie Dodgeball: A True Underdog Story, cavemen everywhere fell in love with her. When she donned a 'blueberry' jumpsuit in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, mentally-handicapped joggers everywhere fell in love with her, too.
Life Story
Missi Pyle was born Andrea Kay Pyle in Houston, Texas on November 16, 1972. She quickly sprouted to a towering 5' 11", prompting NBA scouts to beat a path to her door. She instead chose a more noble profession: actress. Her early resume reads like a who's who of acting institutions. She is a graduate of Germantown (Tennessee) High School (where Chris Parnell graduated in 1985, only to be fired from "SNL" 21 years later), where she appeared in the school's GHS-TV cable access station and Poplar Pike Playhouse theatre. Using this as a spring board, Missi thought she'd achieved her dream when she was hired to play the 'black widow' character at the interactive theme restaurant, Jekyll and Hyde, in New York City. But then Hollywood came calling.
Missi worked on numerous TV shows and in bit parts on the big screen. In 1999, Galaxy Quest really kicked it off when Missi was hired to play the sexy alien who attempts to lure Tony Shaloub into some 'inter-galaxy fun'. She followed that up with supporting roles in Bringing Down the House (for which she and Queen Latifah were nominated for an MTV Movie Award for Best Fight...the Queen had a clear weight advantage), Big Fish, Along Came Polly, Soul Plane and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. She also had a brief appearance in 50 First Dates, but chooses not to mention that. She was ranked #98 on the Maxim Hot 100 Women of 2004 and is currently in training in an attempt to crack the top 50.
Currently dating Josh Meyers, who happens to be into alien love.
