Introduction
Milla Jovovich is an Ukranian actress who has achieved great success in Hollywood with films like the Resident Evil Trilogy (also starring Michelle Rodigruez, Sienna Guillory and Ali Larter) and The Fifth Element. She is also a supermodel, one of the highest paid supermodels of all time.
Life Story
Milla was born in the Ukraine but moved to Los Angeles with her mom when she was a young girl. In LA her mother and her found work as housecleaners for the rich and famous, including director Brian de Palma. Milla was constantly picked on and abused by her fellow classmates at school because of her ethnicity and her family’s lack of money. (Isn’t it refreshing to hear about a beautiful girl who wasn’t born with a silver spoon in her mouth. It just makes her that much hotter.) But Milla persevered. She learned three different languages and became emerged in acting and singing. By the age of 11 she was featured in Revlon’s “Mos Unforgettable Women in the World” which catapulted her career. By age 16 she was a world renown model who no longer had to clean houses for a living. By the age of 21 she was a certified supermodel. Placing her in the same category as Tyra Banks, Heida Klum, Adriana Lima, Gisele Bundchen, Bridget Hall, and Naomi Cambell.
In 1997 Milla decided to focus most of her energies on her acting career. She starred in the blockbuster The Fifth Element with Bruce Willis. She then landed the lead role in the medieval epic Joan of Arc. Critics praised her performance. Milla then took a few years off so she could find a film that was of higher quality than most of the schlock being offered at the time. She finally decided on the video game based film Resident Evil (We know, we don’t get that either). This film, and it’s sequels, turned Milla into a genuine action star.
She is currently engaged to Resident Evil director Paul W.S. Anderson. She is pregnant with his child.
