The English actress, attended Tiffin Girls' School, Kingston upon Thames, Surrey.
At 16 she discover by a scout while playing a banjo in a tube station and became a model.
In 1992 she appearanced in The Lover, with Jane March. At 21, she played Alison Dangerfield in the TV drama Dangerfield and starred in the 1994 "A Feast at Midnight". In 1998 she played Louise Hope in the soap Brookside. From 1998 to 2001 she played Dr. Victoria Merrick on Holby City.
In the TV show Spooks, her character had her face burnt in a deep fat fryer, and was then shot.
In 2004 she played DS Scribbins in Murder in Suburbia on ITV. The show returned for a second series in 2005, with Scribbs adopting the then popular fashion style of "boho-chic". In 2006 she starred in New Street Law.
She was one of FHM's "100 sexiest women in the world" six times.
She has contributed in 2006 and 2007 to Big Brother's Little Brother.
