Life Story
She was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma and was adopted at birth. As a child, she auditioned for a role as an orphan in the 1982 film version of the Broadway musical, Annie but did not get the role because, let's be honest, who is going to believe a healthy little white girl is an orphan? Her real life parents snatched her up before she took her first shit. She attended Oklahoma City University on a full scholarship and earned a bachelor's degree in musical theater and a master's degree in opera performance.
Career
She has had an impressive career on broadway, appearing on stage in Steel Pier, You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown for which she won a Tony and Wicked for which she was nominated. She successfully pulled a "Bernadette Peters" and crossed over to the world of film and television, first starring in her own short lived sitcom "Kristin" then hitting the big screen in terrible, terrible films like Bewitched, RV and Deck the Halls. She is currently on the show "Pushing Dasies". In 2008, she was nominated for an Emmy in Best Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series for her work the series.
Personal Life
She openly talks about her devout Christianity, preserving her middle America fan base, but she is careful not to alienate the gay theatre goers who throw rose petals at her tiny little feet when she made it clear that she doesn't think gay people are going to burn in hell. These comments got her uninvited from the Women With Faith conference.
