Karen Fairchild
Born September 28, 1969, Karen Fairchild started off rather shy of her singing. However, by the time she had entered Samford, University in Birmingham, she was used to it and didn't mind doing it in public. So, she auditioned for the school's choral ensamble, and to her surprise, was accepted into it.
After befriending Kimberly Schlapman and traveling to Nashville, the two picked up Jimi Westbrook and eventually Phillip Sweet. Seven years later, the band released their platinum-selling album "The Road to Here" in 2005.
Karen and bandmate Jimi Westbrook married in May 2006. The band continues to record and released "A Place to Land" in 2007.
