Introduction

Helena Bonham Carter is famous for having big eyes and a propensity for playing eccentric characters, i.e. being in a lot of Tim Burton movies.

Life Story

She was born in London, England. There are a bunch of famous, well to do English people in her family.

Career

She used the money she won from a national writing contest to pay for her entry into the actor's directory, "Spotlight". It worked and began landing roles in made for TV movies in Britain. Her breakthrough performance was in A Room with a View. She also appeared in a few episodes of "Miami Vice" as Don Johnson's love interest during the 1986-87 season. She became known for her work in period pieces like Hamlet, Howard's End and Wings of the Dove for which was nominated for an Oscar. She then took a liking to the strange and eccentric characters for which she is now often associated.

Some of her more out there roles include Bellatrix Lestrange from the Harry Potter movies and Marla Singer in Fight Club.

Personal Life

She had a public affair with Kenneth Branagh and she is currently in a relationship with Director Tim Burton. She and Burton have 2 children.
