Introduction

Emmanuelle Vaugier is a Canadian film and television actress. Her breakthrough role was Dr. Helen Bryce, the love interest of Lex Luthor on Smallville. She has also appeared on Two and a Half Men and Supernatural. In features, she has appeared alongside Michael Caine and Robert Duvall in Secondhand Lions, and in the Josh Hartnett vehicle 40 Days and 40 Nights. Guess which film project she’s more proud of?

Life story

Vaugier grew up in a French-speaking Catholic household, attended an all-girls private school for 10 years and is fluent in French. All of these facts combined would normally lead to a lot of no-strings-attached hanky panky with uptight American exchange students, but this is not a Cinemax film. It is Emanuelle Vaugier’s biography.

Emmanuelle can be seen in her recurring role on Two and a Half Men, the CBS hit sitcom in which she plays Mia, a ballet teacher who is the object of Charlie Sheen's attraction. She also completed a starring role in MOW Veiled Truth for the Lifetime Network, which, as a company, has a restraining order against Charlie Sheen. In addition to her recurring roles on shows like Smallville, One Tree Hill, and Veronica Mars, Emmanuelle has also had several guest appearances on shows, including The Outer Limits, Higher Ground, and Charmed. She played a sexy, but tormented werewolf on Supernatural, and proved to audiences that even sexy werewolves can be tormented.

Her film credits include Addison in Saw II and IV. In the Canadian film Unearthed, Vaugier played Annie, the sheriff of a small rural desert town. This conceit apparently seemed completely plausible to more than one Hollywood creative. She also appears in the video game, Need for Speed: Carbon, as Nikki. This role would prove more lifelike than working alongside Josh Hartnett in person.

Maxim magazine featured her on the cover of the February 2006 issue in the U.S., with the caption "Don't miss this girl; she's gonna be huge." Three months later, she landed spot #31 on their annual Hot 100 list, which disproved rumors that the original quote meant she would land a high spot on Maxim’s annual “Pregnant 50.”
