Introduction
Life Story
Emily was born in Vancouver, Canada in May of 1977. She was the second of 3 children.
Graduated from the University of British Columbia and ended up teaching acting in the University of Wales, Aberystwyth.
In 2006 gave birth to her first child, a son, named Dante, after adopting her two cousins in 2004. She is a vocal feminist. Her hobbies are painting and sculpting.
Acting
She started acting in the late 1980s appearing in various Canadian and American film and TV shows. The horror film from 2000, Ginger Snaps, really made her name known in the industry.
She can most recently be seen in the films Another Cinderella Story and Blood-A Butcher's Tale.

"I was able to connect with Brigitte because when I was a teenager I saw the process of becoming a sexually mature adult as monstrous. I now understand that it is constructed as monstrous by society (e.g. all the products we have for controlling our natural bodies), and that is the "beast" that attacks every girl when she becomes sexualized by our culture.
