Cynthia Leigh is an internationally-known cosplayer, semi-professional model/actress, and net idol.
She started cosplaying in March 2002 when she was introduced to the idea at Crescent City Con. A year later she began modeling at the urging of a friend, to obtain professional photos of her costumes. She went on to do convention-based promotional work for anime and video game companies like Cartoon Network, Anime Network, and Capcom
She has modelled for A-kon's EGL Runway Show (US, 2004), Cosplex Magazine (Japan, 2004), Cosplay: Catgirls and Other Critters (US, 2006), Dragon*Con's Annual Dawn Contest & DVD (US, 2006 & 2007), Disney's Communicator (US, 2007), Blood N' Sex (US, 2007), and Anicoz Magazine (US, 2008).
Starting in 2004, began acting in films like Just My Luck (US, 2005), College (US, 2007), and Black Water Transit (US, 2007). She also took on roles in television movies such as Locusts (US, 2004), Vampire Bats (US, 2005), A Perfect Day (US, 2006), K-Ville (US, 2007), and the TV Pilot Dixie Melodie (US, 2008) .
In 2006, she started doing digital colorist work for comic and manga companies, writing articles for Associated Content and XploreU, and shooting stock photography for sites like istockphoto. She recently launched her own clothing and accessories line through Etsy, AmericanGeiko by Cynthia Leigh.
She is currently attending college in New Orleans, while penning a manga, chapbook, and wicca novel. (2008)
