Christy Carlson Romano is one of the “human products” churned out by that evil marketing machine known as The Disney Channel.
Her on-screen career began as a trick-or-treater in the 1996 Woody Allen musical "Everyone Says I Love You." This was followed by a small but important role in the Hal Hartley indie-flick "Henry Fool" in 1997. After a short run on the long-running soap opera "The Guiding Light," in 1999, and a part as the ailing daughter of a former doo-wop singer in 2000's "Looking For an Echo" she became the staple of Disney stardom she's known for to this day.
She is perhaps best known for her roles in the sitcom Even Stevens and the animated series Kim Possible, in which she was the voice of the title character. Romano became the first person to act in three Disney Channel projects simultaneously, complementing her work at Even Stevens with a starring role in a movie Cadet Kelly (2002) alongside Hilary Duff, and voice acting as Kim Possible. She is also the voice of Yuffie Kisaragi in the English version of the movie Final Fantasy VII Advent Children, as well as in the Disney/Square Enix game Kingdom Hearts. In 2004 Romano began a 31 week run of playing Belle in Disney's Beauty and the Beast on Broadway. Also in 2004, Walt Disney Records released Christy Carlson Romano: Greatest Disney TV & Film Hits, featuring her single "Dive In."
After she sucked as much money as possible out of the pockets of tweenagers all over America, Disney cut her loose in 2007.
Christy has several movie projects for 2008 on tap including The Cutting Edge 3: Chasing the Dream (2008), The Legend of Secret Pass (2008), Movin' In (2008), and Wolvesbayne (2008).
