Introduction

Charlotte Ross is best known for her portrayal as Detective Connie McDowell on the seemingly never ending NYPD Blue. She also played Eve Baron Donovan on Days of Our Lives.

Life Story

Ross was born in 1968 in Winnetka, Illinois, no doubt she is a product of 1967's Summer Love. As a youngster she acted in plays in her hometown. As a young woman she trained at the Steppenwolf Theatre and with improv giants Second City. She landed her first long term role on the perrenial soap opera, Days of Our Lives. For her performance on the show, she was nominated for a Daytime Emmy.

Following her departure from Days of Our Lives, Ross bounced around Hollywood doing guest spots on such hits as ER and Minor Adjustments. She also did some movies around this time including Love and a .45 and Savage Land. In 1999 Ross landed a role on the show Beggars and Choosers which lasted for two seasons. Right after that show ended Dennis Franz was getting older and uglier and NYPD Blue was in desperate need of some hotness on the show. Ross came to the rescue and beautified the show for 57 episodes.

Outside of her illustrious career, Ross is a devoted member of PETA. So devoted, in fact, that she posed nude for ad's where she stated: "I'd rather go naked than wear fur." According to her website, while in Puerto Rico, she adopted a dog and gave it the racially sensitive name Taco. She is due to star in the highly anticipated TV movie Christmas in Paradise this winter.
