Rated in FHM’s Top 100 Sexiest Women polls in 2001 and 2002, Cat Deeley is a popular English disc jockey, TV personality, and former fashion model. She rose to fame in the UK co-hosting the children’s series SMTV Live. She has also hosted Stars in their Eyes since 2004, and So You Think You Can Dance in 2006. After seeing the cross-over fame of fellow insanely hot Brits-turned-American-movie-stars Sienna Miller and Kiera Knightley, Cat has decided to move to LA and pursue a career in acting.

Cat was born in Sutton Coldfield, West Midlands, UK, and attended Grove Vale Infant School in Great Barr, Birmingham, followed by Dartmouth High School. She was a straight A student, and played the clarinet. It was during high school that Cat was spotted by the Storm modeling agency, which also represents Kate Moss, and was signed. She modeled for two years, before moving on to become a presenter. Being one of the rare models that actually had a good grades, and could actually speak extemporaneously probably help with this segue.

Cat started hosting with MTV UK in 1997, and then went on to work on SMTV Live and its spin off shows CD:UK and CD:UK Hotshots from 1998-2002. Her crossover to America came in 2006 when Cat hosted the reality show, So You Think You Can Dance. During that same year, she also interviewed Kylie Minogue about her comeback, for a television special that was huge in the UK and in Australia.

Since that time, Cat has been a guest reporter on NBC’s The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, and has been an entertainment contributor for ABC News. She plans to focus less on hosting and reporting duties, and more on acting in the future. In a fantastic turn of events, Cat has broken off long-term relationship with PR executive Mark Whelan due to her move to Los Angeles. Gentlemen, start your engines!
