Introduction
In addition to being one of the hottest chicks in the world, Asia Argento is without question one of the coolest. She smokes, she gets tattoos for the hell of it, she does what she wants and she really doesn’t give a shit what anybody else thinks.
Life Story
Born in Rome, she is the daughter of actress Daria Nicolodi and Dario Argento, the master of Italian horror films. To the untrained American eye she is just another hot chick, the girl from the Vin Diesel debacle XXX (2002), but she is an international star and a favorite of indie directors like Gus Van Sant, Abel Ferrara, and Oliver Assayas to name a few. Her most visible American roles were in B. Monkey (1998), Land of the Dead (2005), the Kirsten Dunst flop Marie Antonette (2006) and the aforementioned XXX.
She has directed a plethora of films, documentaries and music videos, has written a novel and has been published in a number of magazines. Mega-corporation Disney tried to put the kibosh on the release of her 2004 film The Heart is Deceitful Above All Things because they didn’t want the stars of "The Suite Life of Zach and Cody" to be seen dressed like girls in the R rated film. Welsh Hardcore/metal band Hondo Maclean, named a song after her. Once she heard it, she offered to do a publicity photo for them. She has won two David Di Donetello awards which are the Italian equivalent to the Oscars. She is also a DJ.
