Introduction
Annabella Sciorra won her way into the hearts of Sopranos fans when she played Gloria Trillo, Tony's car dealing, manic depressive, suicidal girlfriend.
Life Story
Sciorra was born in Connecticut, but was raised in Brooklyn. Following high school she attended the prestigious American Academy of Dramatic Arts in New York City. By the age of 20, Sciorra formed The Brass Ring Theatre Company. In 1991 she got her first big role when she played Angie Tucci in Spike Lee's Jungle Fever. Following that role she appeared in such movies as The Hand That Rocks the Cradle and CopLand.
In 2001 Sciorra landed her biggest role yet: one of Tony Soprano's mistresses on the eminent Sopranos. On the show she played Gloria Trillo, an extremely hot yet extremely mentally unstable car dealer. After seven memorable episodes, Sciorra's crazy character killed herself but her career was far from dead. In fact, Sciorra was nominated for an Emmy for her portrayal of Trillo. In 2005 she landed a role on Law & Order: Criminal Intent but the role only lasted a season.
Off the screen, Sciorra has done some off-Broadway acting including The Vagina Monologues. She lives in Manhattan and has been dating Bobby Cannavale since 2004.
