Life Story
Sarah Roemer has just begun her career as a movie star, but it won't be surprising if in five years, she becomes a major player in Hollywood. Though she is probably best known for her roles in films such as The Grudge 2 (Amber Tamblyn, Sarah Michelle Gellar) and the sleeper hit Disturbia, Roemer began her career as a model after being discovered as she bought a cup of coffee at a 7-Eleven in California when she was just 15 years old. By the time she turned 17, she moved away from her family to live in New York, where she could concentrate on modeling.
Despite having a successful modeling career, Roemer soon focused on acting. In her first film, Wristcutters: A Love Story, Roemer played the part of Rachel. That same year, she appeared in the horror sequel The Grudge 2. In 2007, she starred along-side Shia Lebeauf in the thriller Disturbia, playing the literal girl-next-door, who happens to swim in a bikini most of the time. To help promote the film and her career, Roemer appeared in Maxim Magazine. Also in 2007, she appeared in the film Cutlass, directed by Kate Hudson. Her next film will be Waking Madison, starring Elisabeth Shue and Taryn Manning. She will also star in The Golden Door with Rachel Leigh Cook and Snoop Dog.
