Life Story
Raised in an abandoned building in Manhattan, Rosario grew up with aspirations of becoming a marine biologist. Then, while hanging out on a stoop, she was asked by filmmaker Larry Clark to appear in his controversial movie, Kids. After garnering positive reviews for her portrayal of Ruby, Rosario switched her focus to acting (sorry, dolphins), and in the next few years she appeared in a steady stream of films, most notably He Got Game (Milla Jovovich), Down to You (Selma Blair, Julia Stiles) and Josie and the Pussycats (Rachael Leigh Cook, Parker Posey, Tara Reid). Since then, her career has been a mixture of interesting low-budget films like Shattered Glass (Chloe Sevigny), bigger-budget successes like Sin City (Jessica Alba, Brittany Murphy) and 25th Hour (Anna Paquin) and colossal box-office failures like Alexander (Angelina Jolie) and The Adventures of Pluto Nash. Musically, she has appeared in a video for The Chemical Brothers, starred in the popular musical Rent and been featured on tracks from Prince and OutKast.
Rosario has several films in the queue over the next couple of years, including Killshot (Diane Lane), Poor Things (Lindsay Lohan, Jennifer Sciole) and Eagle Eye (Michelle Monaghan).
