Nicole Kidman is an Oscar winning Australian actress. She is the highest paid actress in Hollywood, if you don’t count Tom Hanks. This redheaded vixen belongs to the group of seductive Australian actresses which also includes Naomi Watts, Portia De Rossi, Kylie Minogue, Elle Mcpherson and Cate Blanchett.
Life Story
Nicole came to Hollywood in the early Eighties in hopes of fame and fortune, but for the first couple of years she could only find roles in cheesy TV movies and soap operas. Then in the late Eighties she received her breakthrough role in Dead Calm (1989). This kick started Kidman’s career and led to her roles in moves such as To Die For (1995) and Batman and Robin (1995).
In 1990 Nicole married Hollywood legend Tom Cruise, making her a certified Hollywood star. The couple had two children together but would eventually divorce in 2001 when Nicole discovered that Tom was actually two feet shorter than her.
In 2002 Nicole won an Oscar for her role in The Hours (2002) where Nicole wore a prosthetic nose that made her unrecognizable. Proving once again that if a really hot woman wants to win an Oscar she must make herself ugly. Since winning the Oscar Nicole has made several big budget movies such as The Interpreter (2003), Cold Mountain (2003) and unfortunately, The Stepford Wives (2004) with Faith Hill.
Nicole met country singer Keith Urban at G’Day LA . She married him several months later in Sydney Australia. They now maintain homes in Sydney and Nashville, Tennessee. Nicole can be seen in the upcoming film The Golden Compass.
