Introduction
Its no wonder that so many parents treat their children like weird little actor slaves, hustling them around LA to sessions with voice coaches and auditions at Nickelodeon. If one of their progeny scores a lead part before growing armpit hair, there’s a chance that they will never have to take money out of their 401k to pay for the college their children will drop out of. That’s pretty much the case with Trachtenberg.
Life Story
“Mitchie” made her first television appearance in 1988 in a commercial for Wisk Detergent. She went on to feature in over 100 more commercials. She appeared in her first credited role as Nona F. Mecklenberg in The Adventures of Pete & Pete from 1994 until 1996. Her career really started with her role as the lead in Harriet the Spy. She received attention for her part along side Sarah Michelle Gellar in the infamous Buff the Vampire Slayer. Her acting career has shown her moving into more mature parts and away from the Disney scene, with appearances in shows such as Six Feet under, House M.D., and Law and Order.
Trachtenberg provided the voice of Tika Waylen for Dragonlance: Dragons of Autumn Twilight, a direct-to-DVD animated movie based on the novel of the same name. The movie was released in January 2008.
