Actress, singer, songwriter, and all-around sweetie pie, Mandy Moore is not just hot, she’s apparently also talented. She’s sold 7 million albums worldwide, starred in a slew of successful films, and continues to torture men everywhere with her you-just-might-be-able-to-get-that-girl-but-not-really persona.
Life Story
Raised in Orlando, Florida, she was discovered by a Fed Ex delivery guy who overheard her making a demo at a recording studio and tipped off a pal at Sony. She burst onto the pop scene at the age of 16, with So Real, then later with I Wanna Be With You. The following year, she would go on to star in the mostly forgettable A Walk to Remember. But the movie earned her the always-coveted MTV Movie Award, and put her solidly on the acting path. She went on to star in a plethora of estrogen-fueled flicks such as How to Deal (2003), Chasing Liberty (2004) , American Dreamz (2006), and License to Wed (2007), which might have been a complete disaster if she hadn’t worn the tight Chicago White Sox jersey.
Moore returned to singing in the summer of 2007, with the folk album, Wild Hope. She is currently on tour, but made a brief appearance on “How I Met Your Mother” to make out with some lucky dude.
