Julia Louis-Dreyfus is arguably most known for her character, Elaine, in the hit NBC sitcom "Seinfeld." Years of episodes showing her romances gone awry created a subtle allure that makes this Manhattan-born actress easily one of the sexiest funny women there has ever been. This was confirmed in 1998 when People magazine named her one of the "50 most beautiful people in the world."

She is the daughter of French billionaire, Gerard Louis-Dreyfus, although her parents divorced when she was very young and she spend much of her childhood between Washington, D.C. and New York City.

She made her feature movie debut in "Hannah and Her Sisters" (1986), a Woody Allen film.

The next year, she married her college sweetheart from Northwestern University, Brad Hall, and they have two sons, Henry (1992) & Charles (1997).

Her "Seinfeld" character did not appear in the original pilot of the show, and she claims she has never watched that episode out of superstition.

She won an Emmy in 1996 for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series for "Seinfeld" and in 2006 for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series for her work in "The New Adventures of Old Christine." She also won the Golden Globe in 1994 for Best Performance by an Actress in a Supporting Role in a Series for "Seinfeld."
