Introduction
Jenna Fischer is an Emmy nominated actress who is best known as Pam Beesley in the US adaptation of The Office.
Life Story
Jenna worked as a secretary before she became an actress. She stated that she worked just enough not to get fired but not enough to get promoted, kind of like her character in the show… Jenna’s first work was in the 1998 movie Born Champion. She then starred in several TV shows like Spin City and Undeclared. She auditioned for the lead role in Alias but she was rejected because she wasn’t “hot” enough . Never one to give up Jenna continued to audition for shows until she landed on The Office. The show was not an instant hit, and was nearly canceled after the first season. The Office returned for a second (and now third and fourth seasons) and slowly became one of NBC's most popular shows, winning an Emmy for Best Comedy in 2006. Since then she has also appeared in the movies SLiTHER, Blades of Glory, and Walk Hard.
