Introduction
She suffered from mercury poisoning, which was the direct result of daily fish consumption. She suffered from weak memory, headaches, crying spells, skin rashes and low grade depression until she removed fish from her diet. Prior to discovering the cause of her problems she ate sushi about four times a week.
Life Story
She was born in Berkley, California to an American mother and a Guatemalan father. After her parents divorced she moved to Vermont with her mother. She moved to Los Angeles to study acting and at one time shared an apartment with Meg Ryan.
Career
She is best known as the fist-swinging troublemaker, Jo Reynolds on the hit show "Melrose Place", but she has been acting since the 1982 miss The Dorm that Dripped Blood. Her pre-Melrose credits include, Vision Quest (Linda Fiorentino), The Sure Thing (Nicollette Sheridan) and Space Balls. Post Melrose she has done "Beautiful People" (Torrey DeVitto, Sarah Foret) and "American Dreams (Vanessa Lengies)
